The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue: REVIEW

The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue (Montague Siblings, #1)Monty is a wild and free young man in an English society that isn’t tolerate of his brash and bold actions. After getting himself kicked out of boarding school Monty’s father is sending him on Tour in hopes that he will come back a new man ready to learn how to run his family’s estate. Monty is touring Europe with his longtime best friend Percy and is also tasked with escorting his sister Felicity to school. Monty is threatened with every inch of his life that if he embarrasses himself or his family while on this tour he should not return home, his father will disown him and he is left all on his own.

It doesn’t take long for their trip to turn into a fight for survival. Monty, Percy and Felicity are on the journey of a lifetime and must find away to survive after being robbed and then hunted down by a French aristocrat that wants something that was taken from him while the visited. The remainder of their tour is solving a puzzle of a secret that could cure Percy from epilepsy before anyone else and Monty becoming a man of his own.

This historical fiction novel was full of interesting facts about 1700 European culture and locations as well as clever wit from the characters. It was nonstop action and twists that made the book difficult to put down. I enjoy every chapter and couldn’t wait to read the sequel. This book was checked out from the public library and strongly recommended for those who enjoy history as well as adventure.
